Every day I tend to wax more and more old school - brands on foreheads for violent crimes. No need for background check when one look tells all.

The entire concept of background checks is predicated on the notion that it's OK to allow "dangerous" people to roam around freely.

If someone is so dangerous they cannot have a gun then arrest, try and convict them of the appropriate crime or have them evaluated and committed for insanity. Creating a society of partial citizens walking around freely who are "dangerous" but still free to roam is nuts.

What our lenient sentencing statutes and crazy ideas like the peace circle show us is that the progressives care more about offering repeat offenders near-infinite "chances" than they do about protecting the safety and civil rights of peaceful law abiding citizens.

The WA Supreme Court just upheld the death penalty for a cocksucker who murdered his neighbor's family (wife, 2 young children, and wife's sister) while the neighbor was serving in Iraq as part of the National Guard. Inslee said the death penalty would not be carried out while he is in office.

Apparently if you kill 4 innocent people and then burn their house down to cover up your crime, Inslee still thinks you're worth keeping around. That should tell you how much the Ds love criminals.

Well, if it might get Inslee a vote....
