Nice PIF. Hoping the winners will post how they prepared it.

Man that is some SERIOUSLY fresh fish. Got a bunch of 1"+ steaks in the freezer. The poke was awesome.

NICE!

I'm a bit confused. Is that the 16th place consolation prize? :ROFLMAO: :rofl9:  I'm assuming you got in on the shipment.

I stole a chunk of your tuna when you weren't looking :045:

JK, I asked G4L to order a couple of pounds for me. Didn't want to risk it all on chance.

We're going to grill up a portion of the Opah, and make a bunch of poke with the rest. We're having guests over this evening to help us devour it, along with some crab we caught yesterday. Can't wait, and I promise some pictures, it's going to be good.

Thanks for the fish G4L, we're really looking forward to it!

Sorry this took so long...

Here's what we started out with, about 4.5 lbs of Opah:

I diced up a good chunk of it for poke:

And made a blackening spice for the triangular shaped piece to go on the grill:

Some red rocks we caught to go with it:

The poke, we kind of followed a recipe, and did a little bit of this and a little bit of that, turned out great:

And the blackend fish off the grill & sliced:
