So, my WA CC is good until 2022. But is it still good in WA state even though I live in MT next year?
I have a Utah license which is good until 2020, but am unsure if the WA permit is good even though I am no longer a resident?

It looks as though if I get my MT permit, and re-up my Utah permit, I'm covered in WA state through reciprocity, so I will no longer have to re-up in WA with these two (MT UT) combined.

I don't know the ins and outs, but I know that your WA CPL is a resident CPL. Non-residents get a different CPL.

So if you're no longer a resident, then I have to believe that it's no longer valid.

Still have WA driver license?
Is it valid 'till 2022?
If Yes, then why to bother?

my WA state "valid" drivers license will be invalid after May 1st, due to selling the house and change of address.
At that time I'll have an MT DL with an MT address, thus the question, is my WA state C&C still valid as a non-resident.

Re WA DL : The address listed must be valid as residence. You have a certain number of days to change the address listed on WADL after moving, I forget the penalty for failure to comply.
CCP : Tied to the address also.

Still seems insane to me that US citizens need to ask permission to carry a firearm in any state.

The only way to get authorization to carry in Washingfornia:
1. Pants must be lowered to your thighs
2. Underwear must be presently outcropped from the low laying pants from #1
3. Must hold weapon sideways (there is no substitute for this requirement)
4. Must speak in such a fashion that others from surrounding cities have no clue what you are saying
5. Weapon must be stolen.
6. Be jobless or on methamphetamine (preferably both)
7. Hate the rule of law and the police.
8. Shoot so poorly that you hit innocent bystanders, (preferably children from your own neighborhood).

And a cherry on top: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/wa ... 253267b4da

^^ LOL!

Okay, thanks guys.

There is a 6 month wait time in MT from the time I'm a resident before I can apply for a C&C at local sheriff.
My Utah permit is indeed honored in MT so I'm covered there for 6 months.
I don't plan to come back to WA state until fall of 2019 so I don't think I'll have a problem.

Does your Utah permit cover you in MT if you're a MT resident?

In Washington it does not; if you're a WA resident, you need to have a WA CPL.

Noticed that you mentioned being back in WA in 2019. So...is your move permanent, or just a temporary change of address?

I updated my UT CPL with my OK address, and they said to just write my OK address on the back. Lawton PD officer said my WA/UT/OR is good out here till I get my OK CPL. I know this may sound crazy, but I wish they would just make all this stuff easier to understand. I spent 10 years in WA trying to learn, and understand all the ins and out about WA gun laws. Now I have to start all over again. YMMV.

Do they leer differently in OK Chuck? BTW, the feminists are kinda cracking down on leering lately. Be careful. :cheers2:

aren't you supposed to update your address with DOL within 10 days of moving?

Change your address: Driver license and ID card
Things to know
You have 10 days after you move to change your address on your driver license or ID card.
There's no cost to update your address. There is an additional fee for getting a new card with your updated address on it.
Updating your address on your driver license doesn't change your address on your vehicle. You'll need to do that separately.
If you want to see what addresses we have on file, log in or sign up for a License eXpress account.

You are correct, online it is free. We had customers at Cabela's change it on their smart phone all the time.
I don't have a WA DL anymore, they made me get an OK DL.

Move is permanent. I'll be traveling back (8 hr drive) to visit family still living here.
