I did this one the same time as the two Rugers, the owner wanted a 2-tone finish like I did on the Norinco 1911, it is a Star Model BM 9mm. Here are the before pics:

Here it is after I stripped the old finish using naval jelly

I then wire wheeled the parts to see what would need polishing

Here it is after the 1st pass on the buffer, the owner wanted high gloss on the sides and rough texture on the top, bottom, front and back.

So after polishing the sides I taped off the polished areas and sand blasted the frame & slide with garnet

Here it is after polishing & sand blasting, ready for a final degrease, then bluing

This last round of bluing I cleaned, polished and re-blued 5 guns in one day, I had a friend help me, it was like an assembly line....Here they are ready to go into the tank
