This shit is affecting my Longshore gig. They are switching most of the shifts to the hoot owl (3am-8am) instead of the normal 7:45-4:45 shift.

Crazy idea, but what if they opened the tunnel b4 shutting down the viaduct?
One of the numerous reasons we moved to Skagit. And my truck tabs went from $488 to $68.

Traffic is not too bad down here. I heard a regional report on the news radio this morning as I was tooling around on the empty-ish roads... The reporter from Seattle said a few things that made me raise my eyebrows... One comment was about the rather poor timing, and the even more significant comment was that the planning in and around the Seattle metropolitan areas is expected to snarl traffic for years.Uhm... Isn't that what planning is supposed to avoid?

Probably not opening the tunnel until they get the toll equipment setup...

You can’t have tolls on interstate highways. You CAN toll the exits though. Im pretty sure that’s what the assholes in Seattle are planning given the example our east coast brethren have made.
