Started collecting these this past year. Fairly inexpensive right now. Have picked up an 870, an Ithaca Deer Slayer Police Specal, and a couple High Standards. Anyone else collect these?

What is your definition of a Riot Shotgun? A pump action 18" barrel or is there other criteria?

Yep, if you don't mind a few scratches or worn bluing you can find some rather inexpensively.
What I really would like (besides a girlfriend) is one of Mossberg's new "retro" shottys. They have a "Police" version and an "Assault" or "trench" version with a thicker recvr, longer barrel and greater capacity.

I really love the Remington 1100's. Relatively inexpensive, tons of parts, and in 12 gauge you can have a short barrel for defense, and a longer barrel for clays.

Short barrelled shotgun set up by the factory for police and military sales, not a put together. Attachment: histandard.JPG Attachment: ithacadsps.JPG usrifle wrote: What is your definition of a Riot Shotgun? A pump action 18" barrel or is there other criteria?

I like pump guns of all flavors, but those "riot" guns are fabulous. Especially the older ones with character.

I've got a Mossberg 590 that was my father's. Always loved it. The feel, the sound, it's a great gun that just looks like it means business. Looks just like this one: Attachment: mossberg-590-military-for-sale.jpg

Maybe not a riot shotgun but I figured I'd post it here. My 590a1 with ghost ring sights.
