My first multi-gun match at Paul Bunyan today.

Man... sharing my pcc out to two other shooters today was a sure fire way to iron out the kinks and practice some gun smithing!!

* excessive fouling ( I shared my PCC with 2 other shooters)
* Faulty glock mag - plastic liner delaminating
* Bad ammo ( I think, blazer brass).
* Broken trigger pin
* Trigger pin walked out (due to bad gunsmithing on my part when reinstalling the new trigger pin).
* handguard coming loose twice

Looks like fun, Eric!

I like the high camera angle. Is that just a friend walking with a selfie stick or similar?

It's an Insta360 camera on a 6ft stick. It captures in a 360 degree sphere at all times at about 5.7K. In post, I can then select the camera angle and zoom. It's really really neat.

That looks super fun! How does one get started in that? What organization oversees it and sets the rules?

My only PCC is an SBR (B&T APC9). Would it be better to have something with a 16” barrel?

So this is an exhibition event, an "outlaw" match not overseen by any governing sport. But with a PCC, you can participate in basically all the practical shooting sports and all have commonality in terms of equipment for PCC. Basically, if it shoots 9mm and has a stock, you can play. Regardless of how many and what type of optic of mags available to you.

IDPA - PCC Division
USPSA - PCC Division
United Multigun League - PCC Only Division (so it's a multi-gun match, but you can shoot every target and every stage with only a PCC)
3GN - PCC Only (I think they have a PCC only division).

So yeah, if you want to get into action shooting sports, PCC actually plays nicely in all. The only requirement is that you have a stock for IDPA and USPSA, the other multi-gun sports allow braces.

Which range is near to you willing to travel to on a weekend?

It's definitely an adage but this was definitely the first time such a required reshoot ( that spinning thing failing to spin easily cost me 8 to 10 second. Most reshoots end up pretty similar from what I've seen unless someone blew the stage and found a technicality to do a reshoot. There's definitely a lot more pressure on a reshoot to do "better" despite the fact you were always doing your best on the prior run anyway.

My reshoot... I had two severe double feeds.

At Idaho state match 3 years ago I had to reshoot the same stage 3 times, back-to-back, because mover reset failure. Yeesh.
