I finally broke down and bought the SBA3 brace w/ tube on Gunbroker for $110 shipped. It seems to be the best deal out there right now. They emailed the USPS tracking # to me within 15 minutes of placing the order. :thumbsup2:

Link is here if anyone else is interested: https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/809114288. Says they have 3 left.

Beautiful day at the Marysville Rifle Club today.

Shot some groups at 100 yards with several different .308 recipes I had worked up.

You know, I've never had ANY interest in a launcher . . . but that pic of RocketScott's practice ammo kinda piques my interest. thumbsup

Jim be like, "Lay down on the ground and slap the gas tank with your hand."

For real....last night a woman walks up on me at the gas station and asks if I can jump her car (cables in hand). TLDR...she rolled into the gas station without gas in her tank, then put in $12 worth of gas. She said the car wouldn't start or turn over. So I charged the battery for a bit and tried to start. Nope. Did this a few times and kept talking her off the ledge. She obviously had more than few stressor in her life and only $12 for gas but, she was still trying to buy a B&M while I was charging her car.

A few attempts at starting and I'm thinking the fuel pump is dead from her previous attempts. So I call Jim at 9:30pm and talk to him for not even five minutes. "Lay down on the ground and slap the gas tank with your hand." was part of his instructions after making sure the fuel pump was priming. Sure enough...I slapped that B like a fat booty and she started up!

Thanks, Jim. She's probably just about to change her life around now.

What’s the idea behind slapping the tank? Are we knocking the crud off the sock, or just jarring the pump back to life?

You ever have an old truck with a heater blower motor that will not always work?

I just replaced the heater motor in my old toyota..... been tapping that sucker from the driverseat with a T Ball bat for almost a year.

Same thing.

It takes two people though....when the car first cranks it only gets voltage from the computer for a short amount of time...and that when you need to smack the tank.

Stopped by Dreadi's and picked up my Coonan. He fabricated an awesome front sight, from scratch for nearly zero money,or at least way less than the time he had invested in calculating the proper height, design, test fire, etc.

Oh yeah, also scored my most excellent Black Hammer Arms patch!
