They're pretty reasonable guys and I doubt they would want their employees running paying customers off over techincal issues with 4473s.
From the sellers perspective, I could see where a "no refunds for denials" would chase off the riff raff who arent sure they'll pass a background check. Kind of like LEEDs huge "Law Enforcement ONLY" sign on their door. I understand a sellers point I worked for a wile at Sams guns and we would get people from Casino road in Everett that were always trying to pull fast ones. But I don't like being called a felon . I have never been in any kind of trouble with the law I have not even had a speeding ticket. Like I said I watched the guy try and enter on their electronic system 5 times until he was locked out and had to have another guy come over and do it on his log in . Over the last 20 years I have bought close to 100 guns and have never had a problem . Hell I have 12 suppressors and all the crap that goes with that nonsense. I showed the guy my CPL and asked him if they could make a exception and charge me like 10% restocking so I would not have to drive all the way back down from almost Everett. He said no he could not because felons are always trying to test the waters . That was the first time he said that . I let it go then you read what happened out side .I know theres nothing I can do but to go through the process just venting Mike

This may not be the place to discuss this, but do we, as a forum, really want a business like that as a site supporter?I vote no! This... Fuck SAA... I tell everyone I run across to stay away from SAA, but they are for my own reason. Honestly after all the shit they pulled on me last year I can fully believe every word of this. When all this is resolved I would love to publish a story on them and their debauchery... Love being able to reach a national audience! Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk Pro

If you contact nics and find out that saa made a mistake inputting your information, you have a good case for libel... and I would sure them for their error.
It is possible their computer scrambled your info and the wrong stuff got sent...
I once had a similar situation with federal way discount guns and moe called nics up and they were able to determine that the operator misheard what was called in which caused the denial...

5 bucks says it was that dumb fuck Andy. They won't care about this exposure because my friend was in there the other day and said it was packed, so unfortunalty the customer base isn't falling away.

I'm glad I don't live anywhere near there... All of our shops down here have some pretty friendly and knowledgable behind the counter with some decent prices.... The exeption being the two discount gun locations we have.... They are the most pricey of the gun shops around but still some cool guys to go in and talk to if you have questions on anything.
I sure as hell wouldn't support a gun shop like this and to be quite frank, I'm a little disappointed they support the site, yet lack customer service of the community... And I must say... Marine you guys handled it much better than I did, coming out and harassing you guys like that... Hell fucking verbally assaulting you like that.... Fuck that... I don't play well with others... Especially in situations like that. I give you props

They've received thousands of dollars of our business- Not one dollar more until I get to hear their side of the story, and it darned well better include an apology for that single employee's tactlessness.

They won't say a word, they don't care. The only one that cared doesn't work there anymore. They are quickly becoming southend wades, might as well just change the signs over.

Okay, I almost +1'd half a dozen of the last posts. I think we need to take this to the collective next level. Are we able to vote on our sponsorship? I think we need to hear from our admins on this, gentlemen? And Steve?

After they finished laughing, you woulda got a proceed.
Just get it straight with the feds, and report the store, as well as the employee to the Better business bureau, the FBI, CIA, NSA, DHS, the president, and anyone else you can piss off while you are at it. We haven't had one of those for over 5 yrs..... Makes me appreciate the few shops we have up here, there is a lot to be said about smaller towns. Sounds like the dipstick entering the info got you flagged because of the numerous times he tried to get it into the system like someone else said.

Kind of like LEEDs huge "Law Enforcement ONLY" sign on their door. SCREW THAT. Those that know Marine know he is not a felon, no restraining orders etc. Yet he somehow got a Denied, obviously shit happens, mistakes are made. I can understand a shop having a "fee" because there are assclowns out there that know they should not have a firearm, but try anyway and waste employees time, but keeping an entire sale amount is bullshit. You may think it's bullshit but what exactly is your time worth as a licensed FFL? Your merchandise is tied up until the appeal portion is over with. If the buyer is cleared they get their gun. I'll assume it's covered in the written contract SAA makes you sign before the purchase? If it's known beforehand that DENIALS will result in foreiture of the purchase amount after 30 days ( or whatever their policy is regarding appeals) it's going to cut down on people who KNOW they'll get denials and lose all their money. I'll assume there's follow up paperwork on the FFLs part regarding denials. If it's an incorrect denial, it'll be cleared up IF the person being denied gets it straightened out. I get passed on for further review and a delay 90% of the time I buy a firearm from a FFL. I suspect so day it'll come back as DENIED due to whatever issue is connected to my highly uncommon name and I'll have to get a UPIN and get it cleared up. Every industry has shitty employees, it's unavoidable unless you're using those do it yourself kiosks. As I said contact James, the owner, I assumed from the original post it was the downtown store, I have no idea who the manager of the Lakewood store is. At he very least make him aware one of his employees is an asshole unneccesarily.

We ARE the inside. Are you implying we convene in a communist state here? Or does the input and voice of some concerned members have no say?? Why would you think differently? I trust in our "owners", as you put it, to allow us to enjoy our shell gas, OR to cherish the values that the "customers" on the "outside" as you put it again, value.
