Oh, one thing about NICS yesterday. Everything was fucked up over there. Absolutely every person was getting further reviewed, and most all of my calls, about 10 fucking delays, 15 proceeds AFTER holding for 20+ minutes.

Apparently they were having major computer issues. Perhaps related?

Weird, it took Lynnwood Gun about 5 minutes to come back with my proceed yesterday..

Not sure, they go into the back so could be either. All my forms were paper, nothing on the computer if that's the difference.

There is no consistency to NICS.

There can be 45,000 people getting a delay around the country and 4 guys get an instant proceed. All depends on the phone system and their computer systems.

I hope the denial is squared away without too much hassle. It's embarrassing but is a fact of life with these systems sometimes--human error.

I just don't understand why they can't just charge $50 do the check and if delayed or denied you either lose the $50 or you come back when approved. I'm almost always delayed, even been denied before, never did anything about the denials, but I've bought and past the NICS checks on other guns later. My last delay,I decided to apply for a UPIN waiting for that to show up,I did get the approval 2 days later, but when I was delayed I tried to give the small gun store dealer some money to hold the gun,he said he couldn't take it,so I had to drive back up to Stanwood from Olympia to go pay when he got the ok from NICS.
Anyway I think they need to change their policy, and attitude before I buy anything else from them. But from what I've read about the owner James,he doesn't care.

On a related note . . . we recently introduced the WaGuns "junior member" group, with its associated color for the usernames.

Dan, what color are we going to use for the WaGuns Felons?
