I was smoking a chicken the other night when I noticed the grate temp was dropping..... I pulled out my phone and tried to connect to the smoker to adjust the temp ---- No connection Thats when I realized.... - Spoiler: show
- I'm not a pansy - flip a switch - turn a dial - hope for the best - douche of a smoker!
WSMs for the win Turned out really nice tho!!!
Attachment: 20210427_202246 (Medium).jpg Finding out that crispy skin comes from smoking at 300-325.
What DID piss me off is finding out that the same load of Kroeger coals didn't burn nearly as hot as the same load of Weber coals did --- I couldn't get my smoker to crack 300 by much, but it did roll 275-300 pretty much the whole time. Still took ~3.5 hours for the chicken at that temp. Gonna have to use up the bag of Kroeger on some pork butts this weekend.

I was about to order two different things off of AmazonSmile and when my cart came up it said one was free shipping and the other was $5.99. Both items totaled over $25 but closer look showed the one item that was over $25 came with free shipping than the other $11 item they wanted to charge me $5.99 to ship. In the past I've always gotten free shipping if the total was over $25! I'm I missing something here? WTF

WTF The way I have understood it, each item has to be one that offers free shipping, if over 25 dollars. Or just offer free shipping. One of your items did not offer free shipping if over 25 dollars. When that happens to me, I look for a replacement item that costs more than the one I chose... (The 11 dollar item.) Which only costs a bit more. The difference not totaling the shipping. In other words, if the item is 11.00 and 5.99 shipping, I look for the identical item for 11.25, to maybe 13.00. And free shipping. (The kind where it doesn't matter if it's over 25.) Or even the same item by someone else who DOES offer free shipping if over 25...

Thank you.

Drove to the west side. Some douche kid rear ended me on the offramp from 18 to Auburn Way. Offered me $200, I went back to my car to get my phone and take pictures, he said, "Everything looks okay man!" and took off. Some frame damage as I had to shim the trunk to get it to close. Bumper cracked underneath.
