For some strange odd reason the power went out at ~9 - thankfully I was done cooking..... in the dark.... light some candles..... debating whether to go set up the jenny...... Neighbor calls and says 'lets go for a walk in the rain' - OK - get back just after 10 - set up jenny - all running good!!!!! Power back on at ~10:40!

Damn --- set up and prepared for the worst..... There was NOTHING to think this would happen tonight..... I texted my sis and said 'Merry fucking Xmas --- fuck you 2021'......

Gonna FILL the jenny tank and go and refill the cans..... this was a bad omen.

Our fridge officially shit the bed, just outside the warranty, go figure. Can't get the compressor to engage. Showing low power on the main board. There is a way to put it into an emergency mode and it should engage the compressor, and it isn't. Called around to a friend of mine who repairs fridges, and he said it would be easier to just buy a new fridge. We both looked up possible part replacements for our make and model of fridge, and they are discontinued. My grandparent's fridge lasted nearly 60 years. Ours shit the bed after 12. Good thing we are in a cold snap, and have a beer fridge in the garage. Still sucks.

I feel you; modern digital fridges don't last like they used to. Actually, you should be happy 12 years is pretty good.
