Tell me about it. I have a box with $300 worth of fresh ahi and hamachi that left Hawaii 2 days ago via FedEx Priority Overnight and it still doesn't even have an estimated delivery date. Gonna have to cancel my plans to treat everyone to sashimi tonight (and poke tomorrow) because FedEx can't get their ish together. Should have sent it UPS.

This is why I've long said that if I had Gates/Soros/Buffett money, all of my shipments would be made by charter/private jet and armed courier--myself being the courier.

Ugh, that's maddening. I can't imagine getting that box and having to just trash it all, that would be aggravating.

FedEx is the bottom of the barrel for shipping companies. I cringe when i order something and they send it FedEx.

A friend whose property I'm keeping my truck on.. The one I volunteered to pay $$ to, to offset any costs/inconvenience...

Well, the wife sent me an angry text message asking why I 'forgot' to pay HER... insinuating that I'm not paying on purpose...

I checked my bank account...and.. nope.. I'm all paid up...so I sent her a screenshot of the payments...

HE pays all the bills, so I've been paying him.. and no exaggeration when I say I'm paying him 20x what I actually consume... the majority of that money is supposed to be a 'thank you, go buy yourself a couple good steak dinners' type thing.

In talking to him, apparently, she thinks that it's HER money....and he doesn't want to fight with her...

This just pisses me the fuck off.

Once again, she accuses me of something that I didn't do, I promptly prove her wrong, and she doubles down and is now taking the money I'm giving him, to NOT pay bills,but to go into her pocket where she can spend it how she pleases, so, in essence, the money which is supposed to be for costs/him, are now not only NOT getting paid, but the extra bonus as a 'Thank you' is going to HER.. So, he's basically pulling money out of his pocket for what I'm doing, and his wife is getting richer..

Oh, and she still insists that I'm using him....meanwhile,he pays all bills, and the money I give him to pay bills, she wants for herself..

I hate to say this, but your friend is pussywhipped, and it sounds like she's had a hardon toward you and any other friends who might challenge her keeping him under her thumb for a long time. Him having to make a choice between you and her is inevitable, and even if she gets her way she'll just keep coming at him until she's ripped everything but herself out of his life.

Hindsight is 20/20, but you two really should have put together a written contract upfront; if you had right now she'd be committing the tort of Contract Interference and you'd have a case against her in civil court. Maybe it's not too late for you to put one together... important question is, does he hold title to the land or does she? Hell, even then, unless he's willing to lie for her you might have a case on Harassment as-is...

Principle. You do me a favor, costs are incurred....and I pay for those costs and any perceived inconvenience (no matter how slight).

Keep in mind, they never asked for anything, I volunteered because I felt like it was the right thing to do, now that I was capable of paying something.

Now, my principles are literally being used in an attempt to vilify me.. and there was one payment I missed by a week, because I honestly forgot, but I paid the next payment 2 weeks in advance, just to make sure.. and this was a month ago, AND he said nothing. I actually brought it up to him that I had forgot to pay him the previous week, when handing him 2x the money he was expecting..and it was a non-issue..

So, the money I volunteered to give to him for bills, is now not only being co-opted by her, but if I had not offered to pay anything, she wouldn't have anything, but because I did the right thing and offered, she's attempting to vilify me over something extra she wouldn't even be getting.

I can deal with the money aspect... 'Doesn't matter how they spend it, once it leaves your hands it's theirs to deal with'..OK cool whatever...

It's the fact that it's NOT going to pay bills like it's supposed to, and SHE is not only profiting off of MY principles, eg taking advantage of me wanting to do the right thing, but continuously accusing me of shit I didn't do, and attempting to make me look bad... While she's doing the exact thing she's accusing me of, namely, using him.
