People who drive in pouring rain and spray on the highway without headlights on.

It's not just a good idea, ITS A FUCKING LAW.

I swear if I wasn't in a marked company vehicle I would just randomly run into these assholes. Sorry, couldn't see your light gray car in the opaque light gray road spray. Fuck you.

To be fair "blind spots" is a very subjective term based on your vehicle. My honda has no "blind spots." If you choose to drive a rig with large blind spots it's your responsibility to make sure they're clear before moving. As a guy who's driven box vans for 15 years I know that responsibility well.

But yes, I turn on my headlights on sunny days. It still doesn't keep the morons at bay.

I had a 2000 mountaineer that had a DTRL button. It was awesome. In the winter I pushed it and the lights came on when the car started. In the summer I turned it off so I did not burn through headlights. Fuckin idiot proof. So many cars don't have this option. Its either can't turn them off, or don't have them at all. It would be nice if car companies were standardized a little.

All the vehicles I drive have a blindspot of some sort. I DO have mirrors that show them, but I still consider it a blind spot because it's not EASILY visible, and during inclement weather and shitheads not using lights, as mentioned above, the blind spot mirrors might as well not even be there..

It's not uncommon for me to slow down/speed up to get someone out of my blind spot.. It's also not uncommon to have that person intentionally find a way back into it.. Ie I speed up, they speed up. I slow down, they slow down.

Thank you for the DRL complaint. Turns out I can install factory DRL on my Excursion with 60 bucks worth of factory for parts. Just plug and play. I kept forgetting to do this. Parts ordered.

The wind kicked our ass up here in Sno Cty. Power is still out. Go to the tweet page at PUD to see what's up. You read the tweets and these people are so self absorbed and clueless, I will pray nighty that they do not breed. All caps telling them they must know immediately when their power will be back on. I would like to duct tape them to a bucket truck and put them up in the trees with the wires in 60 mph winds. "Yup ass hole you just hook that one there to that other one that broke and is in a pile 150 feet away." You want power? Well suck it up sunshine.

That's like a few years ago during snowmegedon. People were threatening PUD workers. Police even escorted some.

Yep, it was a very long night for us. Fortunately our clients are commercial rather than residential, they tend to be more understanding and grateful.

The neighbor ran his generatror in the front yard ALL night long....
I went over around 1 a.m. and pounded on the door...
He answered, and I asked: "Do you have a medical condition?"
He stammered "no..."

"Well then would you please turn your generator off for the night?"

He searches his little pea brain for an appropriate response: "It's for the FREEEZERS!... I was going to turn it off in a little while.."

A little while hunh...1 a.m. aint late enough WTF? :angryfire:

So I said, "We all have freezers too! And I'm sure they'll be fine until morning. Turning your genny off NOW would be nice, thank you!"

It remained on until 3:30 and started up again at 6.

This is the same asshole that goes out at 3 a.m. to dump his recycle glass in the hopper.
