True, it was 55 and raining when we left, didn't really think about the possibility of a hard freeze. HX is cleaned out, and working all better now.

So....get everything wired up...plumbed in...and secured..for the project I'm working on...

Project manager comes up and says...'hey, I found this, can you put this in?'

'This' is a part that necessitates removing and rewiring/rerouting EVERYTHING. Basically wasting an entire day of work.

I explain that the way I have it does everything that 'this' does and it won't require redoing everything....


But..because he has 'this', he wants to use it...even though it adds nothing and requires extra labor to make it work....

Yes.... more $$ for me... but the manager in me is worried about labor hours...in addition..performance is rated by jobs and hours to complete. So this job is gonna tank my profit/hr. And make it look like it took twice as long as it should. I'm averaging about 50 hrs a week. 20 hour days aren't unusual..

Either way, your PM is missing the point.

So I've been fighting a head cold the last couple days cause my boys don't like sharing anything, exept germs.

Stop this morning at safeway on my way to work and pick up some soup for lunch. Now I go to the safeway signatures area of the deli where they stack prepackaged containers of soups. And half awake and feeling like shit, I see what appears to read "bacon and cheesy cheddar soup". Oh hell yea. Grab it and off I go and onward to coffee.
So lunch time roll around, I heat up my soup... Take a bite... It ain't fucking bacon..... It's ficking brocoli. Son of a bitch.

Thank god for a stash of Pringles and cliff bars

The Broccoli and Cheese soup is pretty damn good. If bacon is what you're looking for, should have gone with the Loaded Baked Potato soup.

Best mistake that could happen to you; broccoli is good for you. Your staple diet of pringles and candy bars probably contributes to what ails you...

okay, my beef for the day:
Upsold my client to a nice(r) shower valve...installed...everything runs smoothly for 23 days. Recv'd a phone call from her last night: "I have no hot water in my shower!" Pressure balance cartridge in the valve went T-U.
Parts on the way, but nobody pays me for this extra work! grrrrr.
