The fella that built it passed away and family was letting go of his car collection.

It has an all aluminum Buick V8 engine and a TH350. The complete engine with all accessories weighs only 320 pounds. The guy had it painted 20 years ago really never drove it again. It’s been indoors in his shop for the last 20 years. Other than engine/tranny, the rest is all stock.

It runs and drives great!!

A 231? That's an interesting setup. Back in the day we dropped SBC's in those, and in 280Z's.

:thumbsup2:

The front buckets need reupholstered, but my pops has owned an upholstery shop for 60 years that specializes in only custom and hotrods, so new seats are in the works! But other than the buckets the rest is very nice. Door panels are mint, no cracks in the armrests. Im gonna toss a new molded carpet kit in it to.

Not a 231 V6,, this a V8 215 cubic inches. Olds, buick and pontiac used them for a couple years in the early sixties. Some of the olds ones had turbochargers to. Later they were put into land rovers for many years along with other British cars. I had a late 90s range rover with on it it and it was pretty tough!

Look here,,,, https://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/v ... le215.html

These are very collectible and were used in many high performance applications such as marine and Indy/road racing do their light weight.
They can be stroked with 300 buick cranks and many other mods to make some very good numbers. Bore to stroke ratio is very good to.

Honestly I was just looking for a nice roller to put a blower motor in with some huge meats, but this one is a cool piece of old nostalgia that I dont think I can molest. It drives great too, its a pretty fun little car! Only 2300 pounds!

That’s a nice ride you got there brother.

My cousin was an engineer for GM back in the day, he did a lot of the performance testing on the Vega Cosworth models. He and his wife (navigator) would race down to Mississippi from Michigan, They had a clipboard with two stopwatches attached meaning they hauled assthe whole way.

CPA filed my 1120S today.
Firing her after it goes through.

I just can't afford to pay a CPA that much, she really went whole hog on me.
Not even sure I even need a CPA.
I'll try Turbo Tax or H&R Block.

I've been doing my own taxes since the beginning. H&R Block online makes it very simple. Just have to keep clicking through and writing stuff in.

I got this email from Amazon yesterday:

This is your quarterly AmazonSmile donation notification to inform you that Second Amendment Foundation received a new donation of $18,832.29.

Thanks to customers shopping at AmazonSmile, everyday purchases generated over $200 million in donations to charities worldwide so far.

See AmazonSmile's impact to date:

* $187,373.61 to Second Amendment Foundation
* $198,636,544.70 to all charities in the US
* $215,721,458.97 to all charities worldwide

I think that's pretty impressive!

So going by those numbers, SAF receives about 1/1000th of the AmazonSmile money, which I don't think is too bad all things considered. I mean, we can certainly do more, but that's a good chunk of change. thumbsup

That's a pretty damn good perk. It is very, very slow to accumulate, but good all the same!

.........

Inslee in trouble , again for not knowing the law.

This one a common sense one.

He violated Agriculture law.

Makes my day every time the news says he transported Maggots from Western Washington.

Am I the only one that subconsciously thinks Maggots=Antifa?

Pisses me off he calls the Gvnr Manson trees HIS .

Typical though...he doesnt know the laws of his OWN F'n County. Thurston Co is Apple Maggot Quarantine area.

Authorities are trying to round up the maggots...

Saw an older gent at the store today wearing a Subvet hat.
Asked him what boats he was on and he replied... Tang, Nautilus and a couple other diesel boats...
I have been to the Nautilus museum a few times and started thinking what that must have been like compared to the boat I was on..
The history that man knows..
