Took the Makita AR shooting again today. Was impressed by my groups at about 25-30 yards from sitting and using the makeshift sling to steady. HAH

Well it was because Glockgirl posted links to that addiction recovery board where Tomoko used to post as "Chihiro". Tomoko is not a US citizen and she could have serious legal troubles if it becomes known that she has a past of substance abuse. Her fiance being ex-LEO might have had some influence on her leaving us. I don't know. She also seems to be a marijuana user but has a Chelan county CPL. Stuff that can really mess up her life if the gummint decides to screw with her (which they might because she's a libertarian). I've learned a lot about Tomoko and I think she has problems enough. I like a lot of her points of view and I'd be happy to see her participating here again.

I got up to 30 by going from the top of the hill to the bottom. Fine for pistols, whatever but rifles really need to stretch their legs.

I can get out to about 250 when I go shoot with my buddy down the road. Or if we go to his brothers place we can get out to about 500. I can't stand shooting at anything less than 50 unless it's self defense/tactical type shooting. But plinking. I want a challenge.
So what's the specs on your ar my friend?

So what's the specs on your ar my friend? 16-inch 1:7 chrome/moly barrel, SAA, MOE handguards, A2 front sight, MOE flip up rear, nameless BCG and CH, SAA lower, MOE stock and grip. Wanting to swap into a new barrel for more precise shooting and a butt with a tighter fit to the tube like an ACS or B5 SOPMOD. EDIT TO ADD Carbine gas

That's what I plan on doing here soon, I run a 16" 1:7 as well. I will likely be be doing a 20" at some point and make it a SPR.
