This belongs in both Pissed Off and made my day. Went into Meinke to have ac checked. They did a complete check, with the free coupon. The compressor clutch will not engage. All fuses were good, and direct wire would not engage the clutch. $400 for new unit from NAPA. The shop (meinke) said if I was going to do the work myself, they would evacuate the system, and after the new unit was installed, they would would recharge it at NO COST to me as I had already paid for the recharge. I am going to replace it with a wrecking yard compressor for $45. I do not use AC very often and cannot justify $400.

Took my kids fishing with my father in law this morning. My son (4) caught his limit, and my daughter (2) caught 3 with assistance. 20 trout in 2.5 hours, and home for nap time. Beats the hell out of working today.

No, she's a former student of a school that was shut down for shady practices (I'll spare you the details). I'm just grateful that I won't be making those payments for the next 10 years. They were going to start next month on the same day that Form 1 SBR applications will be considered again. Coincidence? Although I may be slightly biased.

I've read of a couple of those schools, I think the feds are writing off these loans as a combination of "you didn't get what you paid for" and "we fucked up bad by giving money to these people in the first place." Either way, good deal.

Finally moved enough junk around in the garage to get the little orange pumpkin out. I took a long lunch and took it for a drive today. I always forget just how fun it is.

Thats literally one of my all time dream cars. But at 6'3", its hardly practical, let alone comfortable to drive at all.
