Wife gave me the OK to buy a truck I've been wanting if it's still there.

My "baby" Jacob turned 12 yesterday, and because he's Jacob, he decided to delay his "birthday birthday" dinner until tonight, when his uncle, very pregnant aunt, and both his brothers could be home to celebrate with him--he still had friends over yesterday, but his older and younger brothers had other commitments, as did my brother and his wife, and I had two crowns placed yesterday early afternoon and felt perfectly awful thanks to pain meds.

So on his own, Jacob decided that serving cupcakes to his friends (along with some special-request food, dishes I only make a few times a year...maybe this is all a plot to get more special-request food) was okay, and that he'd have me save the cake (chocolate disgustingness, unless you're <20 years old--three layers of chocolate cake, with dense dark chocolate cream cheese-based filling between the layers, all coated in chocolate ganache and decorated with Belgian milk chocolate shavings and marzipan) I made until tonight, because "my cousin inside of Lisa probably likes chocolate, too, Mum".

Yah. I cried. I don't know why stupid tinypic rendered this photo sideways but I took it last evening--his aunt Sonja sent a text with birthday wishes from her family, and Jacob insisted on going out in the rain to take this pic so he could "wave" to his cousin Harvey, who is 5 and in SLC.

My order successfully made it across the Atlantic without the plane "randomly" disappearing. Finland to NYC as of this morning.

Taking my stepson to Cabelas to buy him an early 7th birthday present: a Crickett .22 youth rifle. He doesn't know what we're getting yet, we're getting lunch right now as I type this.

I am free because I say I am. My freedom is not dependent on any government benefit or piece of legislation. My rights are inherent in the fact that I was born a sovereign being. They are non-negotiable. The government can list them and protect them, but my rights are not theirs to give away.

Let us know how long it takes the Cabelas drones to process that purchase.

Well I just finished the NCIS form. Waiting for result now. I get delayed a lot but fingers crossed.
