This is my off week and I'm trying not to answer my phone for work as I've worked probably 4 or 5 weeks straight with only a day or two off.

So Monday after my daughter got on the bus for school my son and I loaded up and headed east on highway 2. After quick stop off at the Sultan Bakery for breakfast and donuts we started the climb until we found snow. We played for a bit then worked our way down glassing for bears, which is one of my sons favorite things to do.



Then today (Tuesday) I jammed out at 5:15am and met up with my elk hunting partner. We hit 410 east and went to our elk hunting grounds to fart around and see if we could get lucky and smoke a coyote or two. (No luck on the coyotes)

We really only "hunted for an hour and half. Then we put close to 60 miles in just driving around the area. Saw some deer and elk. Shot my .308 and my friends 45-70, PMR (absolutely love this pistol!) his .308.

Today and yesterday were fantastic. I should probably start answering the work calls tho for the rest of the week though.

Picked up my son's Crickett today! Going to take it with us on our kid-free camping trip this weekend to put a few rounds through it for "quality control".

Resale on those is at least 90%.
My brother took it down the road during a camping trip and shot a rabbit.

Drew came over today. For the members who have been here longer than 4 years may remember that my dog Hunter was once Drews. Hunter was over the moon to see Drew. Good shit.

Then Never_to_much came over. Between him and Drew bringing over stuff to show n tell I can say I'm going to have an expensive summer.

We cooked up bacon n cheddar burgers, blue cheese brats, and momma bear made her tater salad. Also smoked some stogies.

Lastly, this gem came over here with Drew, but it did not go home with him. :)
