Like most of you I get a few gun mags every month in the mail. Today at Fred Myer on 164th Lynnwood, I was getting a birthday card for a relative and saw RECOIL magazine for the first time. This is what a gun mag/ mens mag should be. Everything about this magazine is perfect, they did a great job. Print is not dead. I will be subscribing once I figure out how or if I can. Needs more chicks like Playboy or FHM used to be, but otherwise perfect. JUST AN FYI if you guys have not seen it yet.

Now that they have a new editor that doesn't put his foot in his mouth....
BTW- freakin home run on who they chose as the new chief there! Anyone remember one particular winner of Top Shot....?

The current issue has a great layout on 80% lowers. It really is a magazine that you dont send to the recycle bin in two months, it is a coffee table magazine.

It's a great mag if you don't mind that they really don't cover anything "budget" at all. The $3000 AK in one of the first issues, for instance.
The $9 newsstand price hurts, but again it's not intended for po' folks.

Wasn't that the magazine everyone swore off a while back for something they printed about civilians not needing to ever have FA weapons? Quote: "“[T]he MP7A1 is unavailable to civilians and for good reason. We all know that’s technology no civvies should ever get to lay their hands on. This is a purpose-built weapon with no sporting applications to speak of. It is made to put down scumbags, and that’s it.” Read more: http://www.gunsandammo.com/2012/09/13/r ... z2xKFoM2pb

Editor who was a bit opinionated about 2A that was counter to what the readership's opinion. Yeah, he's gone now. The new dude that's leading the mag is the winner of Top Shot Season 1, Ian. Good guy.

I flip through them, and buy them if there is something worth sitting and reading or info worth keeping around.

I just miss the old school truly "mens mags" The articles are in depth and the mag itself is worthy of being out on the coffee table or in the guest room on the night stand. Could use more girls and be a little free-er with the language, like guys do, but otherwise worth it. And more politics like Playboy used to do. Plus the interviews with somebody famous but keep to the John Wayne (playboy 1971) types or something... you know ..make it a magazine worth something.

The weapon is sweet but the background should have been a female ass in a string bikini instead of a guy in blue jeans... Sell it with Sex!
