never really interests me to read mags filled with shit I can't ever hope to afford. one of the reasons why I let my subscriptions to several 4x4 mags lapse - all the content became geared towards high-dollar bolt on shit, and railed buggies that cost about as much to build as a new Corvette, $10k "budget" builds, etc.
of course I don't know how good RECOIL is on technical info and reviews, but generally that's stuff I can find on the internet nowadays without paying for someone to print it for me.
This is the problem I have too. I canceled Road & Track since I got tired of reading about cars I can't afford.
My previous post about RECOIL not having any budget stuff is true...but they do have a lot of DIY as well. No, none of it isn't something you can't find online somewhere.
There is always a niche. RECOIL isn't going to have an article where they reminisce about granddad's Model 71 and the smell of mothballs and coffee around the hunting camp. No reloading data for the .300 Savage. No American Rifleman-like articles about which politicians are on Bloomberg's jock. RECOIL is unashamedly new-school, whiz-bang stuff for the well-heeled 30-50 year old demographic that likes big boy toys.
