At least today the shootings were in the Rainier Valley and Eatonville. Hell they had a stabbing in Seattle.

I was right where the stabbing was near Pioneer Sq about 30 minutes before it happened. When I left my house to go there (was going via the dealer getting my car serviced) I realized I'd forgotten my carry gun and was like !@$%$#^@ but didn't have time to go back and get it.

And the shooting at the Shell station in Renton/MLK, I was real close to that too the day before, but not at 4am....

This area has really turned into a war zone. Last time I was in Federal Way was a crime scene outside a crack-house. The "biological debris" outside of it was just

How does one forget the carry gun? These days I am more liable to forget my cellphone than my gun.

I was reading the West Seattle blog the other day and according to their police report there have been three armed robberies within a few blocks of my apartment buildings in the last few weeks. Wtf when did West Seattle become Rainier Beach?

I am free because I say I am. My freedom is not dependent on any government benefit or piece of legislation. My rights are inherent in the fact that I was born a sovereign being. They are non-negotiable. The government can list them and protect them, but my rights are not theirs to give away.

What, do you think I`m an amateur? You think this is Amateur hour? I`m covered in broken glass and hatred. You think someone would want to anger that with a Vz? - Fjordforder

I was running late. For a variety of reasons, I only carry in what I define as "red zones". I know that runs counter to carry everywhere, your gun can't do you any good in the safe. etc. One of the stupid reasons is not every pair of pants I have can accommodate my IWB holster (I carry a double stack 9mm so it is wide), and now that it is warmer I can't count on a jacket to cover my OWB hoster. I'm CC only, I don't want any attention from anyone (bad guys or MWAG) from OC. I guess I could lose weight, that might help the pants situation. Yes I could fix all of this by carrying everywhere and adjusting my wardrobe to suit. Winter is a lot easier, I just wear tactical pants which have enough room for IWB.

In other Rainier valley news, the place done got shot up:

It is a war zone out there.
