Let me point out, that the man pointed to specifically in the second example was racially ambiguous. He could have been of any race. I'm not arguing that it is a socially acceptable word, just that I'm tired of hearing that everyone who disagrees with any minority group being labeled as racist, bigoted, sexist, or whatever. I volunteer once a month at the Museum of Flight, and have the distinct privilege of working with several WWII veterans of Mr. Copeland's age. None would utter such a slur, and certainly not in reference to the POTUS, no matter their views regarding said POTUS. To say that we should respect Mr. Copeland for "standing by" his words is something that I find absolutely abhorrent.
