I was driving home from Idaho State to San Diego for summer break. While looking for xmas trees with my dad in San Diego that year my eyes started burning for an unknown reason. It was then discovered the trees came from the NW, and they still had sulfur laden ash on them. The eruption had effects on everyone around the world in one way or another.

I was a whopping 31 days old at the time of the eruption. I found out later on that my Mom's childhood friend was a relative of Harry Truman.
