I'm pleased to announce that I'm so proud of my eight year old girl! She took the hunter's ed course this weekend and passed with flying colors. 99% on the written test. She's super excited to be able to go hunt with Dad this year.
Also want to shout out a big thank you to Bill OsTrander for putting on this class at zero charge for the kids. And all the other volunteers as well.
Also would like to thank all those at Denny's in Spanaway for allowing them to use the banquet room at no charge as long as the attendees ate lunch there.
It's really exciting for me to see the next generation so enthusiastic about getting involved in the shooting sports.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to that day myself. My oldest is turning 5 in a couple weeks. She already has expressed interest in hunting with me.

Hey congrats, that has to be a cool feeling. I took some hunters ed this weekend (passed), and a father was their with his son. The dad was brimming from ear to ear the whole time. I hope to be able to do the same in the future. Right now my kids are 4 and almost 2, so I plan on taking them separately. Really cool that Denny's did that for you.

That's very cool, Tom.
What kind of hunting are you planning to do together? How much shooting has she already done?

I don't have any higher powered youth size rifles or shotguns yet. My sister in law has a .410 we could borrow and work with though. After that maybe we can do deer together.
