I was at SAA today and when I walked in they were in the middle of a transaction with some weird guy in a peacoat (it was warmer today but he had a heavy coat on) who had some strange look on his face...(almost like he was high)..
anyway he was trying to buy a shotgun with cash (5 and 1 dollar bills) and was short 20$ and he actually passed background check but the guys were just sensing something was not quite right with him...
anyway sale got cancelled and he was booted out of the store for standing in front of the mirror and holding the shotgun in one hand and racking it single handed because he wanted to see how he looked in the mirror with the shotgun in hand...
then the store folks decided to call around and warn the other local shops and apparently same guy was at welcher's this morning saying how he was just down on his luck and needed to buy a cheap shotgun... and he was booted out right there...
guy was at bullseye range when they called bullseye as well and they booted him out... he didn't show up at sportco so I suspect he was trying to stay with the standalone stores
hopefully the guy doesn't find another place to get one.. I definitely think he was up to something, either taking his own life or somebody else's.... he just had that look on his face that seemed blank...

Probably a good call. That said there was a time when I was pretty upset, had a fall out with one of my closest friends, wasn't doing well in school that quarter and was really starting to hate my job at the time. Was a really shitty/dark time and I decided to buy a gun. Man am I glad I did, took that son of a bitch to the range and felt better right away with my new toy

Dude don't even start with the stripped lower....
But seriously, whenever I'm feeling down or sad, I buy a gun, lower, ammo, mags, etc. Cheers me right up!

If he wasn't weird acting or anything, would you have chipped in the $20?

That is awesome. I would have laughed my ass off if I seen that. But how do you rack the slide with one hand on a unloaded shotgun?

Pull the trigger first or hit the button

Snap your forearm up and back down. Racked and ready to rock. Hollywood loves it. ..or like this guy. Go to 2:00 in, can't understand a word he say's. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=one ... Or as Mash Man said the trigger needs to be pulled. Either way, it requires two hands.

I only saw him after the gun was racked and he had it in one hand posing in the mirror.... So may not have been one handed ..but it made everybody turn...

After reading this I have visions of some "under-worked" lawyer filing a discrimination lawsuit on this dude's behalf.

sad thing is, there are numerous pawn shops that would sell to him just to make a buck.
