Hmmmmm ya think she would focus on the need for mental health help instead of the guns. I'm in China right now watching the live feed of the briefing from the Santa Barbara sheriff. One thing they were airing over here is that the shooters dad's lawyer was saying that his dad will be doing everything in his power to address mental illness issues. Over there they will probably overdub that to say guns. So... how & where did he get the mentally defective gun?

and the news says that the family is staunchly anti-gun... well if they did a better job raising their son, then he should have been anti-gun as well...
and more lives would have been saved... except he also had another huge weapon, a bmw that he used to run somebody over...
so we should ban cars as well? where's the outrage against that...

Quote: GOLETA, Calif. (AP) — A California gunman who went on a rampage near a Santa Barbara university stabbed three people to death at his apartment before shooting to death three more in a terrorizing crime spree through a neighborhood, sheriff's officials said Saturday. Unfortunately, with all the money daddy has, he'll never hang, fry or whatever they won't do in Hollyweird.EDIT: Sorry, I forgot he's dead.

If I did that for a lack of female companionship, Olympia/Lacey would be in a world of hurt right now.

"Rogers eventually crashed his BMW into a tree after engaging in a gun battle with two deputies. He was found dead in his car with a gunshot to the head and authorities have yet to determine if he committed suicide or was killed by deputy gunfire."
Just under this article a guy posted that these stories are why he carries and he would have shot the dude given the oppertunity. Just below was this shining sheeples response, "well what would you do? A guy in a car protected by steel and glass, keep in mind a dead driver is extremely more dangerous than a alive one".
Followed by, "oh yeah, might as well shoot back and maybe hit a few people. They were possibly gonna die anyway right? But wait... Then you would be the maniac..."
At first I felt bad for the father (assistant director of the hunger games) because the media is already saying that his teen on teen violent movies may have played a part... Funny I guess no one reads books or puts age restrictions on them

Well, his mom said his talent may be in writing. I have to agree. He obviously didn't have much else going for him. That is unless being a jealous pompous psycho prick is a worthy talent to make note of.

Yes, instead of using your 15 minutes of fame to plea for mental health recognition and treatment, blame the guns. Still waiting to hear what action the PoPo took from the prior report from the family about his issues. In WA at least you can get involuntarily detained by the police and taken for evaluation.

I suspect he got a pass since he was connected... they didn't even run his gun ownership considering he owned 3 and they were all registered per California law.
Even registration failed to stop this crime

Even registration failed to stop this crime Found it: Quote: On April 30, officials went to his Isla Vista apartment to check on him at the request of his family. But deputies reported back that he was shy, polite and having a difficult social life but did not need to be taken in for mental health reasons, Brown said. Rodger says in his manifesto: "If they had demanded to search my room... That would have ended everything. For a few horrible seconds I thought it was all over."
