I am free because I say I am. My freedom is not dependent on any government benefit or piece of legislation. My rights are inherent in the fact that I was born a sovereign being. They are non-negotiable. The government can list them and protect them, but my rights are not theirs to give away.

No kidding. Half the people he killed were not shot. It's incredible that firearms are even being brought up in this event. Yet, the disarmament agenda must continue.
I feel for the families of the victims of this chicken shits crimes but the father that puts the blame solely on the NRA is really getting under my skin.

that's because guns are an easy target in the current political environment. there are too many irrational thinkers out there who use their emotions as a way of thinking. the underlying issue is mental health. there were all kinds of red flags with elliot. his parents tried doing something and the sheriffs couldn't do anything based on what they were being told by him. unfortunately, though, people don't want to touch mental health and the very possibility he was taking medication(s) for his issues. he has that same glazed, thousand yard stare in his videos just like the rest of the medicated murderers.

Guy was a real grade A fruit loop. Another shooting caused by a mentally ill college kid. No big surprise here. As far as gun control goes, CA has all the laws in place that the "moms" and brady bunch have been pushing for. I see how well they have been working out for them.

As far as gun control goes, CA has all the laws in place that the "moms" and brady bunch have been pushing for. I see how well they have been working out for them. Wikipedia has some really good factual coverage and snippets from his 140 pg manifesto. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Isla_Vista_massacreLike the Aurora CO and Virginia Tech killings, this guy sent up plenty of red flags, no one took any action, well maybe the parents did a bit. He attacked some girls at a party - no one called the police. One article mentions CA has an equivalent law to WA that the popo can detain you for mental evaluation. I've seen it done here, it is a one page form and you're off to the races. I'm not (solely) blaming the police for not detecting how crazy dangerous he was, but his psychiatrist probably had a clue. wikipedia wrote: His manifesto mentioned a number of drugs that he was prescribed to use, although how long he was being treated with them and the identity of the drugs currently remain unknown.[26] His psychiatrist was later named as Dr. Charles Sophy in his manifesto.
...
"Doris A. Fuller, the executive director of the Treatment Advocacy Center, stated that California law permitted emergency psychiatric evaluations of potentially dangerous individuals through provisions, but such actions were never enabled during the investigation. She said, "Once again, we are grieving over deaths and devastation caused by a young man who was sending up red flags for danger that failed to produce intervention in time to avert tragedy. In this case, the red flags were so big the killer's parents had called police...and yet the system failed."

I just finally saw more pics of the crime scene... the guy has a bmw 328i which to anybody in the know screams of being pretentious and wanting to look rich but truly can't afford.. it's an entry level bimmer.. he would've been better off buying a 1 series...
It's what people buy when they want to own a bimmer for show but really can't afford it.... he wasn't that rich after all... and no, a 328 is not a chick magnet... it's a run of the mill boring car, and in sta Barbara, might as well have been a Camry.... a used 350z would get you more action.
Sounds like this guy knew he was not that rich and thought money would solve his problem.... which it wouldn't have

At 16 I wasn't cool, good looking, didn't have any money or a cool car but I got laid. In this current year of 2014, if you're 22 and haven't bumped uglys yet... I guess you're going to wind up like this clown.
