I just bought a new house, the last one ever I tell the wife, so I am going in nooks and crannies digging out shit and packing. Under the house I find two duffel bags with BDU's. These must be from mid 80's as they have E5 rank. So I tried them on. Christ, how fucking thin was I??? They are not much different than my ACU and yet they dont fit. The field jacket does, so I will keep that, but everything else is a bit tight. There must be 7 pairs here and I dont think they have ever been worn. Do surplus stores still want BDU's??? Are there still surplus stores? Found some of the old desert pattern too. Shit, and two pair of boots. Why the hell did I keep this shit?

They were issued into the 2000's. You can't get much for them at surplus. You could sell them to kids who like paintball and playing army.

not sure where you're located, but there's quite a few military surplus stores near JBLM off of exit 122. Anytime you're near any type of military base there's bound to be a few surplus stores nearby. As far as I know they still want BDU's. Prepper's and people who wanna be tacti-cool buy the hell out of old military uniforms.

SW WA Surplus in Vancouver is a good place to go if you wanna get rid of them.

Local civil air patrol can never find woodland bdus or .22 ammo for training. They would very much appreciate any donations of either.
