Yup by product of every engine I know of is heat and some form of h2o. Its fossil fuel can't change that. Hot and moist introduced to a cold environment= contrails. Cinch that tinfoil turban a little tighter

So.. just for fun… what has changed from years ago to now? In my younger years, a contrail would extend behind a jet for a short bit… and disappear. So, a person would see a white streak behind the jet that would remain roughly the same length, as the jet flew overhead. Picture example ( - = trail, O = jet _.
This is whet I'd see, behind every jet --------------------O and the trail would stay roughly the same length behind the jet all the way across the sky.
