He wanted to make sure I wasn't going to flip out when he arrived in a uniform/patrol car.

If one is righteous and good..no defense is needed. Their actions will speak for them
I know some will disagree but I don't think I bash, Ido expect the truth and for one to be a good human being with reasonable morals. Running with the pack cause its easiest ddoesn't make it right and that goes for any group
I have met several on here, worked with some(TOS as well) and i would like to think they found me to be a reasonable and no hipacritical individualy

One recent member deleted his account when he was asked to stop doing personal attacks...
He felt that certain classes of people are above question...and was upset that people didn't think like him
Doctors used to be that way and it resulted in bad outcomes... nobody is above question.... Not even the president

That question statement - BEGS ANOTHER QUESTION.
Why does the President indulge in questionable behavior ?
Cletus Von Damme would make a better President in my opinion.

I see a difference between general bashing and personal attacks.
It is too bad if someone who's interested in guns feels unwelcome. I doubt that's the intention of most people on this board.

I have met 2 cops, in unmarked cars, in uniform at different businesses to do deals. When it is 10:30pm at a 7-11 we get some strange looks. I even OCed. I never had an issue and neither did they. I guess the winds of change are happening in regards to reputation of the gun sites in this state. Maybe we should try and change that?!?!?

Probably easier to part a red sea than to stop people from thinking out loud... To the bashers, it does get old if you go over the same story multiple times, to the defenders, it's a great opportunity to prove the bashers wrong by providing facts to the contrary... That's what it should be about instead of getting butt hurt that people don't take your word for it without proof

Mercy still visits occasionally. She doesn't have internet at her home, so only pops up when she's at the library. Mostly visits the chat room.

I am free because I say I am. My freedom is not dependent on any government benefit or piece of legislation. My rights are inherent in the fact that I was born a sovereign being. They are non-negotiable. The government can list them and protect them, but my rights are not theirs to give away.

I just think WAGuns could be a force for good when it comes to the 2A community's relationship with LE agencies across the state (and the BATFE). Perception is reality. The perception is that we (that is a general we...here, TOS, etc.) are anti-cop via a few nasty threads and a few bad apples...it would be easy to repair that damage with some intentional efforts by us as individuals and us as a group. Personally, I address cops as "Officer So-And-So" until they request that I call them by their first name - providing them the same level of respect I give to anyone with an MD, DMD or PhD by calling those folks "Doctor So-And-So." On forums - I try to remain objective when scandals pop up involving LEOs...I try not to be too harsh without all of the evidence. As a group - I think there's a lot to be done by gun owners engaging our local LE agencies for neighborhood watches (Zimmerman sort of sullied our reputation on that one..but that's another thread), volunteer search parties and in regards to legislative matters via WA COPS ( http://www.wacops.org). The smart guys in the OC movement figured this out a while ago - it's not about walking into Starbucks or Chipotle with your SKS at low ready...it's about forming working relationships, doing road-side clean ups, lobbying and other advocacy work. We have to be perceived as an asset to the community/state - not a bunch of self-centered heavily-armed yokels. ...stepping off now.

I'll see if I can shed light...
Kode - Unknown... I sent a PM a while back.. vanished Seldor - Self proclaimed hermit.. He pops in on occasion. Mercy - Here and there Tomy Salami - Banned as well as vanished from humanity.. Even his friends are worried CledusVanDamme - Not banned, he's doing well with a new job. MrsVanDamme - Not banned, she's probably still married to Cledus though Walt - Mr. Wonderful... He's still around but not much, sad actually.. He's a good dude. A.Oster - Taking a personal day. Talked to him about a week ago, he's tired of the winter keyboard cowboys and will come back when the suns out.
