I have been seeing WTS/WTT adds with the listings ending with ' all trades in my favor'. Just what exactly, is that supposed to mean? I'm supposed to trade you an item/s that is of more value than what you're offering? Your stuff is too good to trade? You're a dick and want to get over on me? Either you want to trade or you don't.
And what's up with pricing for used goods at or above prices for new?
:facepalm2:

500 'bumps'?

Really?

Maybe your shit is over priced?

After the 3rd, maybe 5th bump...try dropping the price? Might help.

There has been way to much of this. Especially if you can go to the top of the page and look at dealers with brand new guns for a lot lower price

I thought we left these kinds of posts over at the TOS? Whats next .. "why are people's prices higher then I'm willing to pay?" or "Why are used, like new Glocks with night sights more then $250?".

"Trades in my favor" means they don't want trades but are willing to take them reluctantly if they'll come out ahead menaing you'd be better off paying cash.
Prices are generally negotioable, try negotiating before deciding the asking price is too high. Some people insist on getting a deal and a lot of people price higher then they want to offset the "got a get a discount guy".

There are a few of these posts (like 8) that I see every 2 days...
But most of the people that do this (I'm guessing) feel that they have already discounted their weapon more than enough so to take another in trade that if they really wanted in the first place they would have bought is worth "X"amount less.
People who are willing to trade usually list what they want and say +\- to make things equitable.
Hope this answers your question...

I can't help it if no one can appreciate a fine vintage AR180. :wink05:

What I take that to mean is, they don't really want to trade because they want or need the cash. But if you're willing to trade something more valuable then what they are selling then they are open to it knowing that in the end they will end up with even more cash then they would have with the item they were selling in the first place. However this will also mean more work for them too. So to make it worth their while they expect more from you if all you are offering is trade instead of cash.

I've never tried that one but I do understand it. I've tried to sell some things and everyone just wanted to trade, but I needed the money. This line of thinking make people who may be cash poor but rich in firearms able to get the item they really want.

Fuck that! I'd buy that thing right now if I had the cash. Fun little vintage rifle right there!
