Undeclared war. So the penalties are limited. Saw interviews with 2 former JAG offecers and they both re-iterated it.

Like I said, if his leadership was on the ball, he would have been evac'd for evaluation.

The fact that they hired a PR firm was also confirmed in the media.

If you watch these guys speak, they could care less about the swap, or simply making sure Bergdahl doesn't get a hero's welcome home.

They want him burned at the stake.

If found guilty he should be left in a room full of the loved ones of my fallen brothers... And baseball bats.

The men speaking up now is likely due to the fact they probably felt he would end up dead anyways(letting him get what he deserves in the first place)... But now all of a sudden we trade 5 fuckers whom should have been shot for a deserter. Who at first many people where "yay! Bring our boy home", they are preventing him for being seen as some sort of hero if I fact he is a coward/traitor.

This is the first direct interview that I have seen that you can not dispute.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/360610985600 ... show-clips

I took note that his Team Leader said he was a deserter not a traitor. He might not know all the fact of what BB did while in the enemies hands so I can see how he is only stating what he believes and knows to be true.

I could give a shit what his Team leader says.

1. A military court will decide Bergdahl's disposition Not some corporal or Buck Sergeant.

2. The team leader, and squad leader both failed as leaders and NCO's. They knew he was flaky, and did nothing.

These guys are all pissed. Fine. They are entitled to their opinion. They didn't like the guy. But that has NOTHING to do with justice.

Let's say Bergdahl had been a good buddy and an exemplary solder. Would these guy still be bitching? I Doubt it.

They bitch because they had to look for him? Tough shit GI. These guys could care less about Justice. Bergdahl isn't dead so that's all that matters, They want revenge for a perceived slight. As long as The Taliban held him, they had it. They didn't even need a trial to convict him. They sentenced him to Taliban captivity for life.

They obviously hate the guy and would have preferred to seen him chopped into pieces and sent back in trash bags by the Taliban. I get it.

But everything they have said equates to unprofessional conduct on their part.

So, they were ordered outside the wire to find the guy. Whoopie dink. How come they aren't attacking their chain of command for that?

Because THAT's the way it works in the Army. One fucks up? EVERYBODY PAYS.

WHY? Because YOU as soldiers and leaders are supposed to do your fucking job to prevent these sorts of things.

Right along side the published evidence of Bergdahl's alleged wrongdoing, are multiple accounts of ALL SORTS of red flags on the guy.

Team leader? He was YOUR soldier.
Squad leader? You have more experience and leadership training, YOU are even MORE responsible.

Did you go see platoon daddy? Top or the CO? Did you even bother cluing in the Medics?

Probably not, but we don't know. We would very much like to know.

And we WILL know, unless the trial is classified. We are going to find out where his squadmates and CoC failed as well. And we are going to especially find out what Bergdahl is guilt of and what he isn't. Regardless of how bad the bitch squad wants to poison the waters in advance of his swim in the UCMJ pool. If they want to see bergdahl spit out the hook, they should just keep it up so that there is no chance that a military judge can seat unbiased jury. As if that weren't already tough enough by default with courts martial.

Yeah, NOBODY ever did something stupid in a combat zone and got somebody else popped right? The truth baby, is it happens all the time. And has since war began.

You people screaming for his head on a post right out of the gate ought to be ashamed.

Wish I could announce that I've never been in a combat zone, then try to school everyone on how shit works in a combat zone.

We had a guy that talked about walking out of the gates . The Co locked his ass up in a supply closet and feed him 3 MREs a day until we could ship him home . No one got drafted you volunteered for this shit . Im not saying I agree with these wars but I still went and fought them. So any of you trying to stand up for this guy can fuck off. He signed the line then got cold feet . That does not mean you walk out and have many of our brothers die trying to find your ass. And there is a difference in the mind set of some one who served in peace time and some one who was done a few combat tours so don't try and compare

So you would have left him and not returned him to face justice via the system?

So you categorically dismiss the possibility of him being a mental case?

Or would that matter?

Let's calm down, and not fight over someone we don't even know or are related to. What ever we think will not change anything. He will have his day in court, or he will be discharged only to be forgotten by the world a few weeks later. He will then write a book, make millions, and donate the proceeds to the Taliban. Like I always tell me kids, I only care about direct family. I will not get upset about someone I don't even know.
