Last night I lost a friend. He lost his fight with mental wounds he brought home with him from overseas. He took the easy way out but I failed him I go through training every year to spot this stuff and I failed my friend. I got off of a 14 hour shift at work to find a text from his wife telling me what happened. I failed I should have talked to him more.
With that said if any of you need to talk and I mean ANY of you from people just lurking to long time members. I am here to talk if you need to. There is no FUCKING reason to do this to yourself your family or your friends. No matter how bad you think you have it there is no reason good enough. Please PM me or any of the owners or mods they have my number. There is never a bad time for me. Very sorry to hear that. A former co-worker killed himself last year - his wife called me and we found him. The image I can't get out of my head is the kid's car seats in the back of his car. I don't know how he could think his children are better off without him.
Don't beat yourself up, it can be really hard to spot sometimes. The best we can do is let them know that we're there if they want to talk. |

Mash I am sorry for your loss. You may be trained, but as much training as you have people have the ability to hide and cover issues if they want to so don't beat yourself up about it.
The fact you put out this message proves that your heart and mind are in the right place and you care. Keep your head up and let us know if you need anything.
