Got a new HiPoint carbine and pistol in .40 And along with a Jaguar 4 inch folder and 250 rounds of PMC .40 / a box of hi calorie breakfast bars all in a JIC tube I stashed it up on US 2 on my way to Chelan. Took GPS and made a map. Going to put the info in my file cabinet with my "in case of my death" letter, will, secrete bank account info, and call it good. I figure I will forget it's there so thats why I went with the HiPoints.

Hope it wasnt private property.
Hope it wasnt public property.
Hope kids or "bad guys" dont find them.
Or if a construction crew digs them up, turns them over to WSP, they run the numbers; you gonna have to "splain" your motivation toward irresponsible behavior.
SHTF will gps work? It was "blocked" on 9/11.
Never underestimate the improbable. I understand your motivation but disagree with your method of execution.
Go get the stuff. Please. If it's still there.
PS: No insult intended. I just have a bad habit of considering potential scenarios.

I can understand burying your guns in your back yard for when the Gestapo comes, but this? This one is pretty hare brained. I just don't understand why you would do such a thing. Even though it's some hi points I'd rather have them in my house than up somewhere in the hills. If shtf are you going to fight your way up to these guns to pick them up? What if the road is closed and there is no possible way to get those guns? What if you just forget about them? Although low there is a chance that someone with a metal detector can find this or someone sees that the ground was dug up and gets curious, bye bye guns. This is my wtf is this moment of the week. This doesn't seem to responsible to me.

Thanks dude, I was pretty hungry after my hike. Those breakfast bars really hit the spot, and these guns look brand new!

Meh.
You lie like a rug.
You would never own a Hi Point, even if you were only gonna bury it.
And, the only reason why you would go out on the highway, would be to go to the beer store.
Fakey doo post.

No. My mother lives in chelan. So I take that trip a few times in the summer to go fishing. This is more of an experiment than anything else. I figure in a couple years I will dig them up, if I remember. And they are far enough off the road that if I do forget, I doubt they will be found in a 100 years. And if thats the case somebody will have some free guns, cause I doubt the rest of the general public will then. I was thinking about the back yard at first, but decided the winter would be harsher where I put them, and yes, I would never do it with anything but hipoints. Maybe I will dig them up, next summer and check them out.

If it's an experiment than why not bury a empty tube with random crap

Just when I though I've read it all.
THIS, has to be the dumbest and close to most irresponsible thing I've EVER heard of. Good grief, hope a liberal doesn't find them. That'd just be more ammo for them to PROVE how and why we shouldn't/don't need/own guns.
For fuck sake.
