I never said the 4th amendment should be repealed, and Australian laws are different. Like I said, I had no issue with it there. Do I think it should be implemented here... meh.

Spent a few quality hours in the Dunsmuir pass station with one of Californias finest. Tag on my fire extinguisher was one (1) day expired.
Finally found the FMCSA reg that clearly states that you have to have one but nowhere does it mention the tag or anything remotely related. No ticket. But if you drive away they will treat you as an escaped fellon. It;s a LONG walk to anywhere. Yruck scales are "guilty till you prove your innocence".

FYI: Ca; didnt have a maximum fine for log book violations so the judge could pick about and amount at will. 2004 the law was amended to a maximum fine of $35,000.00. You can also get ticketed fir 56 in a 55 zone.

Out of everything said in this thread i take the most offense to thus ignorant statement. You realize this is Washington state right? Pretty much the micro brewery state...... i don't sat to many positive things about thus state but the beer is better than anything i had in Australia
