Really? A Panamera? cmon man grow a set of balls.. especially with soo many better options at half the price

do you want a luxury diesel? a sports car? a sports diesel?

why not go BMW Diesel... 740LD or 535D

already have a diesel sedan (mb e250).. this is for later when I feel a need for speed...

on that note, we drove from phoenix to seattle last week and at some point I had to pass 2 semis and had to gun the engine of my wife's mb e250 diesel...

it wasn't as good as a v8 (it's a 4cyl diesel) but it got me up to 110mph by the time I passed the 2nd truck (speed limit was 70)... nothing like straight roads for miles to drive on.. and it averaged 38mpg round trip...seattle, phoenix and back..

From the porsche owners perspective the panamera is a bit of a black sheep. But honestly ever since they released an SUV on the market the real porsche "purists" have been shaking their heads.

When top gear reviewed the panamera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmeeF9ZtkCA they didn't seem to care for the styling but had good things to say about the overall performance of the car. IMO if it's just the styling that you like, the porsche is the right choice. But if you want a sporty 4-door that can unleash some serious speed whenever you want, take a look at the Mercedes AMG offerings. Mercedes is building the modern muscle car sleeper. They have models approaching the 700hp range that look like your everyday Bellevue commuter aside from a nice set of wheels and a few AMG badges here and there.

If I had the coin to drop, I'd be after a Benz. You won't attract attention (tickets) like a sports car but if your foot is feeling a little heavier than usual they'll certainly satisfy the urge. But this is all assuming you want to stick with a 4 door. Drop down to 2 doors and this conversation can get really fun!

My brother-in-law's cousin owns the Panamera Turbo in LA. I've personally driven it. I came. 3 times. And that was before I put it into 1st....

Ass ugly and expensive. I'd rather get a Lexus F, M series or Benz.

For the price I'd rather get a Maserati.
