They look awesome. 250+miles per charge is tempting and they're investing big in the super charge stations everywhere. i'd love to have one some day. ;-)

The torque on that thing is supposed to be crazy.. may end up with it when it dips below 50k in a few years. Right now used prices are not going down as you noted

M-5 ? Meh - late model V-10's means 11 miles per gallon in town in a wally wagon.

Their new turbo V-8's are just too fricking expensive.

Now, if it is a manual tranny 2002 V-8, now you got a bullet proof classic hot rod from Germany.

Same with a 1992 500 E - fucking awesome car, but you have to do a couple Renn Tech ads to make the car shine.

Either one gets you a sub 20 k miles car for under 50 k done to the nuts.

Tesla ? The battery range is hyper optimistic. Use the heater, a/c, etc, and watch range plummet like the stock market in 2008. Battery replacement cost will have you screaming like a school girl with tickets to a Justin Bieber concert too.

Not until battery technology goes way farther down the road to a real 3 - 400 mile range with quick charging or quick battery station change outs for fresh ones nation wide. Gotta have infrastructure to make it real.

And, some one has to invent a clean fusion reactor to make all the power all those cars, I-Phones, and Googlie Mooglie servers are gonna need in our brave new world, too.

Rene, not only do you have great deals for us you also have an exquisite taste in vehicles. Kudos to you sir

I like the Tesla but I'd like to see how the battery is in 10 years.

Also, how "big" are you? Not to be a douche but if you're a larger guy you may want a bigger more comfortable car. Get an E63 or S63
