Even if this passed, obtaining what is effectively a restraining order would require that the individual(s) petitioning for said restraining order show reasonable cause. Judges don't just rubber stamp RO's. So the whole "OMG they could totally pull a range sign in sheet and claim that everyone on that sheet is an imminent threat" thing really is a wee bit over the top, IMHO.

perhaps the bill should include the ability to take away other civil rights, like 1st, 4th or 5th Amendment rights? Why limit it to the 2nd? Oh that's right, they have spent all their time demonizing an inanimate object

I'd never support a bill that promotes the seizure of any legally purchased product. It creates a revenue stream for the gov't and that makes them want to expand it to make (steal) more $$. I do support them in cases of victims rights, but that's what civil court it for. I just don't see it ending at a couple firearms. They will expand it to property and freedom.
