My wife and I went to see American Sniper. The 4:55pm showing was sold out, so we purchased tickets for the 7pm showing, which was also sold out. I have never attended a movie where it was so quiet at the end of the movie. No one was talking as a packed theater of people left the showing. Impressive...

Went and saw it last night, was a great fucking movie.
Saw the 9:40 showing, was packed, was super quit except the douchebag in the row in front of us constantly on his phone.
Stupid fuck.
Everyone was quite until someone started clapping.

If I'm being critical, the fake baby was terrible and the scene towards the end with the revolver, creepy and strange.
But, it was one of the best movies I've seen. Cooper and Miller should get awards for the acting. Dramatically it's there with hurt locker and combat wise it's there with black hawk down. Very powerful movie. No one said a word on the way out at ours too (hear that from everyone that's seen it). You understand why no one is in the mood to say a word though.

Yeah, no kidding . . . that revolver scene was fucked up. Why the hell was he running around pointing a real gun at his wife, and why did she think that was funny and okay?!
But yeah, overall it was a fantastic movie. I read the book about a year ago, and the movie didn't disappoint.

I finally got to see this and let me just say this as loud as possible, OPS IS NO CRITIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok now that I got that out of the way the only part that kinda bugged me was when the sandstorm hit and the guys were being picked up by the QRF, I did not care for the "dramatic" reaching out the back of the Troop Carrier to grab Chris.

I hear what you're saying. Did you note the symbolism in that same scene where it showed him dropping his gear along with his RIFLE to make it into the QRF carrier. In the beginning of the movie when he was a kid, his father scolded him for throwing his rifle in the dirt.
Yeah, there were a couple of odd parts but still a fantastic movie.

Yes I did get the symbolism behind him dropping his Rifle but I didn't care for the long "hand grabbing" scene.
