I shouldn't have a problem holding her for a week but I'm concerned she's gonna get attached and have to start over again....
She slept with me all last night curled up next to me...
:/
Damn it. If it weren`t for you doing something good for an animal that would have been the perfect opportunity to say something like you finally got a girl in bed or something

The new family member is loving life.
Can't post a vid of her romping with the older dog, but they have a blast. Very playful, good mix of aggressive and gentle, there hasn't been a genuine disagreement yet.
Just top notch fun.
The creek is about 1.5' higher than we've seen it get to before- and I haven't been here long enough to do any flood control planning. ack.

Shit, I guess I better read the whole thread.

Did not get a chance to read the whole thread but glad to see the ending with someone making another friend. If any one needs to get a dog or cat or even a bunny fixed. Northwest spay and neuter in tacoma will do it on a sliding scale ( your price goes of your income) and they do a really nice job. Yes my wife use to work there but i believe all dogs and cats should be fixed unless you are showing them or are a responable breeder.(not a back yard breeder trying to make a quick buck)

I was just going to suggest the NW Spay and Neuter clinic to get her fixed until I read that she'd found a home. I was at their fundraising auction tonight and have known a one of the board for a couple years (her and her husband fostered my box/rhodesian ridgeback mix for a while until my wife saw him). They do great work.
I think the best rescue for "pit bull" type dogs in the area is the Bullseye Pit Bull Rescue, but unfortunately they don't accept strays. I want to say the Humane Society of Pierce County in Tacoma is one of the better ones in the area to take strays in general as they have a low kill rate.

Great ending to this thread.. I took in a stray for a day before I turned her over to the humane society. She had a chip and they know who the registered owner is and hopefully she will be reunited with them.
I can't keep dogs as much as I love them, they give me massive headaches.

We didn't catch the "background" the first time through. Noticed the big dog's teeth, blew it up and enjoyed the little dog's expression.
These dogs have a very rough life.
