Not sure if you care to read what Motor Trend has to say:

If you haven't test driven a Durango you should. We had a 2009 Santa Fe till this last summer and it was a great rig, we only upgraded because we needed the extra row. We thought about going with another Santa Fe, and almost did, although the newer ones had less ground clearance and less head room then the one we had. I was thinking the Durango would have horrible gas milage, but after some research found it to be the same as our 09 Santa Fe. The wife and I gave the Durango a test drive, after driving a pilot, highlander, journey, pathfinder, santa fe, explorer, escape, enclave, arcadia, 4 runner, and tahoe but were hooked on the durango. It has great power and handling, has a better turning radius then our Santa Fe did, lots of room in all areas of the vehicle. I have no problem fitting in the 3rd row with another person, and I'm 6ft 190. We also opted for the tow package on ours and that has come in handy a few times already. We went with the v6 for fuel economy, but the hemi was a blast to test drive. We also have the larger touch screen, which is easy to navigate, and it has steering wheel controls too. It has been a lot of fun to drive. Worth checking out.
My mom has a 2010 Pilot and I hate driving the thing, it is bulky and rigid feeling. I don't know how the new 2015 version will be, but
