I bought a Honda CRV. I thought the Pilot was too off-roady, not enough city. I maybe should have bought the pilot instead. I still love my CRV though. One of the things I wanted was a reliable and "popular" car that mechanics would know how to fix and would have parts readily available for. My previous cars were tough to work on/diag and parts were super expensive. I've driven my CRV all over the mountains, scratched the shit out of it, and even creased one of the doors with a branch that was thicker/stronger than I thought.

you'd be surprised at how many people will buy that car when they drop it from 25K to 20K... not realizing it was worth 15k...

back in the days when I was a poor credit risk, (and so were my colleagues) a dealer sold my buddy a used camry, worth probably 10K at best, for 18K and charged 25% interest....

idiot bought it and showed it off to me... I was just dumbfounded..

Not sure if you care to read what Motor Trend has to say:
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suv ... rossovers/

But worth a read.

If you haven't test driven a Durango you should. We had a 2009 Santa Fe till this last summer and it was a great rig, we only upgraded because we needed the extra row. We thought about going with another Santa Fe, and almost did, although the newer ones had less ground clearance and less head room then the one we had. I was thinking the Durango would have horrible gas milage, but after some research found it to be the same as our 09 Santa Fe. The wife and I gave the Durango a test drive, after driving a pilot, highlander, journey, pathfinder, santa fe, explorer, escape, enclave, arcadia, 4 runner, and tahoe but were hooked on the durango. It has great power and handling, has a better turning radius then our Santa Fe did, lots of room in all areas of the vehicle. I have no problem fitting in the 3rd row with another person, and I'm 6ft 190. We also opted for the tow package on ours and that has come in handy a few times already. We went with the v6 for fuel economy, but the hemi was a blast to test drive. We also have the larger touch screen, which is easy to navigate, and it has steering wheel controls too. It has been a lot of fun to drive. Worth checking out.

My mom has a 2010 Pilot and I hate driving the thing, it is bulky and rigid feeling. I don't know how the new 2015 version will be, but
