Bill We never met but I wish you all the best man.
Yeah the married thing. I think though hopefully she will see the light and understand the rediculous value that sum of land has in its benefit. Just promise her to add a pool! :-p
And yes, though many seem to have blinders on this state is already Californicated. While We should not stop fighting by any stretch, this state is CA. Both on a cost of living side and more and more political side. The 3 big cities are so ultra liberal in views due to all the CA transplants combined with all those that are ignorant of anything outside their little world, that they now have the voting majority as we unfortunately found out with 594. Best hope down the line is to keep these sort of things off the ballot if at all possible and continue to bolster the rights we still have and fight the new BS laws in court.
That said when someone has the option to better their life and take early retirement, more power to you! If I had the opportunity to get something like house 2 I would be all over it too!

Old lady and I been going round and round. I may end up saying fuck it and moving shop too. Northern Idaho or Montana would be nice.

You can't believe how envious I am. I hate the politics in this state but (and this is a BIG but) my parents who are both in their 80's are still here so I can't leave. My 31 year old son is almost done with his $econd college degree but the wife has said that once he is set up she can leave as long as she gets to visit him a lot. Sounds like you got yourself a nice little homestead although I would have been tempted to go big How's the humidity in Kentucky?

KIDDING I'm not a fan of massive humidity so that eliminates Kentucky for me. I'm leaning toward Wyoming and southern Idaho
