You know who can legally spies on US Citizens? Our friends, like the UK. Then they give the US all the info we need to know.
This is why you should use a VPN, and HTTPS, and block ads. Don't use services from companies that sell your private information, like Google and Facebook. If you aren't paying for it, you are the product being sold. Encryption is something everybody should use, on a daily basis, for ALL their activities.
VPN and HTTPS are all transparent to 3 letter agencies. The S in HTTPS might as well not be there, because it's not secure.
Encryption, on the other hand, such as PGP, is a major pain in the ass for most things...
However, you can NOT use any password that you'd normally use for any site, as they have it...
There are plenty of white papers released by Snowden that detail quite a bit..
I used to think our country would devolve into an armed rebellion of shit like this came to light..... Looks like too many people are content watching 'American Idol'...
