Oh. Wait. Bush did that last one.

Which President did the one that made sound reduction accessories "firearms?" They don't propel a projectile as the result of an explosion . . . .

Franklin Roosevelt. Which has what to do with anything?

Just proves that stupidity flowing from government agencies is not new, but it is to be expected.

you guys can argue all you want. .. bottom line is big money wanted privilege and you guys are OK with that. ..

You're ignoring the big picture for the tinfoil hat... this started because comcast wants netflix to pay them for bandwidth and eventually netflix agreed to it so their video takes priority over your YouTube. ... they were slowing netflix down on purpose to force netflix to pay up...

Strong arm bully tactics...

you want that why?

With a big company, I know what to expect. They want money and will do what they can to maximize revenue and profit. I'm ok with this as anyone can get in on that action if they play their cards right.

Government wants control, ultimately enforced by men with guns who will take you away.

Now, government gets the control. They set the rules and don't let the market decide how the game is played.

ETA: Are you happy with the ATF banning M855 ammo? There is nothing which prevents a Federal agency from adding rules/decisions/regulations as they wish. While net neutrality might not focus on content now, it could very well in the future. The internet is now no longer "free and open".

Net neutrality is the same as saying no to toll roads. .. so you guys want tolls too?

Personally I'd pay a 10k tax a year to have 2 lanes of ì5 each direction exclusive to 100mph and no cars cheaper than 50k in the lanes... you guys want that too... we agree on something at least...

Poor people can stay stuck in traffic...

I'm being sarcastic for those that take me literally

Hmmm
If the internet is under federal control...wouldn't the download of pirated movies and software now be considered Interstate trafficking of stolen goods?

If it is a regulated utility....its subject to fed inspection ..right?

No more than your phone calls are subject to monitoring... and that happened because a bunch of scared pussies allowed the NSA to exist. And that has nothing to do with utility status.

Project much? No one said anything to that effect. I suppose you think that because I want to reign in the EPA that I want dirty air and water, or because I want to repeal I-594 it's because I want to sell guns to felons so they can kill children. Spare me the nonsense.

What we want is responsible policy set forth by federal employees who are accountable to We the People. This push for net neutrality was done without accountability to We the People, and for that reason we cannot know whether it is responsible policy. I have raised this point several times now, to the point that I've :beatdeadhorse5: , but you and the other proponents of this FCC move have yet to acknowledge the blatant disregard for transparency and accountability, so I can reasonably conclude that it has your tacit approval. Is that a fair characterization?

Ya all know that the federal government literally built the internet, right? Major parts of the main backbone is still under military or university control.

I acknowledged the regulations and theorized what they were about. But it wasn't tinfoil enough.

Meanwhile, Ted Cruz was a good Comcast lapdog and got people dancing to his tune.

Now there's a tinfoil hat notion. Universities as a branch of the federal government . . . . because, I suppose, they operate under federal jurisdiction, at least when they accept federal funds for research and so forth.

*sigh *

Two different thoughts there.

You know the story of DARPANET right?

And you know DoD still has chunks of the internet, as well as universities that took part in early construction?

....wouldn't that be more of a big brother, or even socialist approach...as opposed to tin foil?
