So I don't smoke weed but I seem to remember that Odumbo said the Feds weren't going to go after people in states where the voters made it legal. Surprise, Surprise.... He lied again! http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/pot ... ar-BBicvxc

Folks who smoke pot and are even thinking about growing their own are watching this V-E-R-Y closely, trust me on this.

They knew they were playing with fire when they planted the seeds, and they ultimately got burned. I'm not saying it's right that they were prosecuted and convicted - I think it's wrong, actually - I'm just saying that they had to have known it was a possibility. They took the risk, and in this case it backfired.

Looks like they were popped first on distribution charges, which I believe is the loophole the feds left for themselves.
I'm going to go watch Reefer Madness now,so I can be reminded of the satanic evils of Marihuana.

In all seriousness, though, this case is more than a little disturbing. Even as more states (and even our nation's capitol) are legalizing what shouldn't have been illegal to begin with, the Fed is demonstrating that their war on drugs is not over.

Why should jurors in a state court be instructed to follow federal law? It's a state court for crying out loud!
If the feds don't like it they can file a lawsuit against the state of Washington and have their case heard in a federal court where federal law applies. So much for state's rights.
