So my son and I headed up there this afternoon to do a little plinkin'....Sounded like a War zone up there. The clearcut was packed, I'm sure the Pit was too. I know a few spots where you can get away from people and shoot in peace so it wasn't a problem, but there was a whole lot of shooters up there today.
Beat on an AR500 plate with pistols, finally zero'd my Aimpoint Comp M4, and killed some clay pigeons too. Tried out an AK I had never shot as well as the Witness Match elite in 38 Super.
You sure can tell the difference smacking the plate with that over a 9mm! Love 38 Super.
My Son worked out his Henry .22 Lever action and a Walther p22. Then he got busy with the Arcus 9mm and did pretty well. (He just turned 13)
After that he decided he wanted some AR-15 action and got the barrel warm on that one too. I had a CPU with hard drive I wanted to delete, so that got well ventilated too. ( I don't normally do that, and yes I picked up and hauled out all of it, as well as some other trash)
Good time, nice day, and hot mama has some Steaks she is about to throw on.

It's okay, we know you're not the type that leaves trash out in the woods. You just shoot up your old furniture at home, no need to haul it all the way out there....

Sounds like a good day with the boy. Its to bad most of the spots up there have gone to crap or have been shut down. I would love to find a nice spot up there that is about 100 yards long. Would he perfect being that I'm in Enumclaw. Where you residing OP?
