Amazing lady...107 years old, almost made it to 108. The things she saw in her lifetime is mind boggling.
When WWI ended she was 11
When WWII started she was 34
She basically saw the country go from horse and buggy to space travel. What an amazing run she had.
Godspeed granny....say hello to mom and dad for me.
*Edit*
Granny at 100 years old and still sharp. She didn't even start graying until she was 80 years old.

I'm sorry to hear that.
You're right, she saw a lot of history, and a lot of change.
Did she live around here?

That right there is discipline. Good for her living this long. I hope you gained some good insight on the life she lived. Pass it on to your family.

usrifle, sorry to hear of your loss. She must have been an amazing woman to have seen that much and survived that long. I understand your loss. I lost my grandmother a few days ago as well. She was 95. I no longer have any living grandparents. But it's o.k. though. They lived long lives. Both of my grandfathers lived into their 90s. Only my paternal grandmother died relatively early. She was in her 70s, but a huge hypochondirac. That definitely didn't help her longevity. Generally gives me hope for the future though. Makes me realize I still have a few years left if I take care of myself. God bless, buddy.

Sorry for your loss but that's a damn good run as others have said. I wonder what she thought of the America of today vs when she was a kid.
