Per KOMO Facebook:
"Police are responding to reports of a shooting near MLK Elementary School at 44th & S. Holly in Seattle. A school bus was hit by bullets as it was headed to the school to pick up students. No injuries have been reported. The school is now on lockdown." Seattle PD twitter: "No children on buses struck by gunfire near 44/Holly. Officers still investigating. No reported injuries." |

Wow. Apparently people can't tell the difference between BBs and bullets.
SEATTLE -- Police say someone armed with a BB gun opened fire on a Seattle school bus Thursday afternoon. The bus was en route to pick up students at Martin Luther King Jr Elementary School when it was hit at least twice by BBs, according to the Seattle Police Department. Two windows on the bus were broken. No kids were riding the bus when shots were fired near 44th Avenue South and South Holly Street, an official with Seattle Public Schools said. The bus was on its way to pick up students who get out at 3:40 p.m. The elementary school was put on lockdown during the initial police investigation. There were no injuries in the incident. Police originally believed the bus was struck by bullets, but later learned it was likely a BB or pellet gun. |

Well, we can save the kids by just banning the possession of firearms within 1000 feet of any school, school bus, school bus stop, or school bus route.
